e-con's Camera boards for OMAP3530 and DM3730 running Windows CE works with the TI unified BSP. e-con Systems Inc., a company specializing in camera modules and camera daughter boards announced the launch of the e-CAM1M_CU10630_MOD, a 1M pixel Wide Dynamic Range HD camera module with S-mount Lens holder. The camera module has a parallel interface and is specially targeted for surveillance and automotive applications. The update includes the Flex PCB cable changed to FFC cable. e-con produces its own cable CAB_GSTIX_CAM.The new cable is more robust than the earlier one with respect to connectivity and better thermal performance. e-con Systems Inc., an embedded Product Development partner, based in St. Louis, MO and Chennai, India announced its support for Ångström distribution on its Development Boards.

 

Ångström is the future for the world of machines and highly portable and reconfigurable core, built using the OpenEmbedded build system. It is intended to run on all devices with a 2.6.x kernel OpenEmbedded supports, with special attention to embedded devices (PDAs, handhelds, phones, routers, etc.). Ångström is a modern Linux-based distribution targeted for Embedded Devices, and thus offers all features that are used with a "desktop" distribution.

 

"Angstrom offers Embedded Developers a configurable Linux Distribution built on top of Open-Embedded platform. Having the Angstrom on our Development Boards, e-con provides a starting point for our customers interested in developing fully packaged Embedded Products. April 14th, 2010 - e-con Systems Releases New Reference Platform for eSOM300 – PXA300 based Computer on Module
 

e-con Systems Inc., an embedded Product Development partner, based out of St. Louis, MO and Chennai, India today announced the release of the PXA300 Reference design code named Alioth for their eSOM300 - PXA300 system on module.

 

This release is an ideal generic platform to get customers application development started. Alioth is unique when compared with its market leading cousin Regulus – eSOM270 Reference design in terms of application-specific carrier board, specifically designed for Industrial applications like Industrial Controllers, In-Vehicle Telematics, Vehicle Mount Systems, Test & Measurement Equipment, Mobile devices and MIDs WebPads.

 

Other than bringing out all the peripherals that are supported by the eSOM300 on to the carrier board like Ethernet, Touch screen, SDIO, SPI, I2C, LCD controller, 3 UARTs, 1 wire, local bus expansion, USB high speed client, camera interface, the Alioth board supports peripherals like CAN controller, 8 channel 16 bit ADC controller, Analog VGA, USB 2.0 host and RS485. Optionally, customers can choose to have a LCD of 4.3" (480x272) / 7" (800x480) with Touch screen. March 8th, 2010 - e-con Systems launches eSOM300, a new member in the eSOM family of Computer on Modules, based on Marvell PXA300.
 

e-con Systems launched the eSOM300, a Computer-on-Module based on Marvell's PXA300 processor, suitable for embedded applications requiring a combination of low power consumption and mid-range processing and GUI performance. Some of the applications where it can be used are point of sale, handheld and mobile terminals, vehicle mount systems, Kiosks, test & measurement equipment and gaming machines.

 

"The eSOM300 - PXA300 Cmputer on Module will help our customers who have been requesting us for higher memory requirements and features like graphics acceleration and USB 2.0 device interface. The e-CAM Camera solution offered by e-con Systems provides device drivers which supports wide variety of features ranging from color correction, gamma correction, dead pixel correction, color space conversion, sharpen filter etc.
