What is a CS-Mount Lens?

C-Mount and CS-Mount lenses are compatible in all other aspects, with one exception. It’s that a regular C-mount lens can be used on a CS-Mount lens holder with a 5mm adapter ring (such as diameter, thread pitch, etc.). For the CS-Mount lens, the sensor is positioned at a distance of 12.52mm. However, it is important to note that C-Mount lens holders are incompatible with regular CS-Mount lenses.
