4. Does See3CAM_CU31 come with an in-built ISP?

Yes, the camera includes an in-built Image Signal Processor (ISP) fine-tuned for optimal performance and image quality.

5. What is the Maximum frame rate achieved by See3CAM_CU31?

6. Can I get the RAW format output from this camera?

7. Can I get access to the ISP registers?

No, access to the ISP registers is not available by default but can be provided on a case-by-case basis through firmware customization.

8. Can I get access to image sensor registers?

No, the sensor registers are directly controlled by the ISP.

9. Why are the Exposure or White Balance settings not proper in the captured image?

When the camera starts capturing, the ISP may require a few frames to stabilize the Auto Exposure (AE) and Auto White Balance (AWB) settings. During this stabilization period, the initial frames may have incorrect exposure or white balance.

To obtain a properly exposed and white-balanced image, please skip the first 25 frames after starting the capture and use a subsequent frame for still image capture. This allows the AE and AWB algorithms sufficient time to stabilize, particularly when the scene or lighting conditions have changed.

10. What sort of support does e-con Systems provide along with the camera?

e-con Systems offers basic support for evaluating the camera after purchase. They can also customize hardware, software, and firmware based on your requirements. Additionally, e-con Systems can manufacture and supply custom cameras tailored to your needs.

11. Can I get See3CAM_CU31 with IP67 rated enclosure?

By default, the camera comes with a non-IP-rated enclosure. If you need the ISX031 with a USB interface and an IP67-rated enclosure, please contact camerasolutions@e‑consystems.com.

12. Does this sensor come with another interface?

Yes, e-con offers the STURDeCAM31, a compact, IP69K-rated GMSL2 HDR camera with a 1/2.42" Sony® ISX031 sensor. It delivers high-quality 3MP images in low light and challenging conditions, thanks to 120dB HDR and LED Flicker Mitigation. It includes an IP69K M12 lens and supports 3-meter and 15-meter coaxial cables.

13. Can I get this sensor in the FPD link III interface

By default, See3CAM_CU31 comes with a USB interface. If you need an FPD-Link III interface with the ISX031 sensor, please get in touch with camerasolutions@e‑consystems.com.

Application and Usage

15. Can I use See3CAM_CU31 in an earthmoving vehicle?

No, it is not recommended to use See3CAM_CU31 in an earthmoving vehicle. However,STURDeCAM31, a compact, IP69K-rated GMSL2 HDR camera with the same Sony® ISX031 sensor, is suitable for use in earthmoving vehicles as it is certified with ISO 13766-1.

16. What are the different lens options available for See3CAM_CU31?

See3CAM_CU31 comes with two lens options:

• Narrow-angle lens: FOV 54.04° (H), 42.86° (V), 70.17° (D)
• Wide-angle lens: FOV 128.7° (H), 98.7° (V), 170.1° (D)

17. I would like to use a different lens. What is the NRE charge?
