Welcome back to Vision Vitals: your aural keyhole into the bold, unpredictable world of embedded vision.
As you may know, today, AI vision boxes have become critical for robotics, mobility applications, and other modern, intelligent systems. For instance, robots must navigate cluttered floors, and factory vehicles must respond to fast-changing surroundings. Outdoor machines must interpret and process high motion, varied lighting scenes more like humans.
These demands push camera density higher, sensor stacks wider, and AI workloads deeper into the edge.
That's why today we'll be talking about e-con Systems' Darsi Pro.
Launched at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, Darsi Pro is e-con Systems' AI Vision Box built on NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX. It is a rugged, production-ready compute platform for next-generation mobility systems and advanced vision applications.
To break down how Darsi Pro is put together and what it delivers in real deployments, I'm joined by one of the experts behind the platform.
Good to have you here.
Happy to be here. I'm very excited to talk about Darsi Pro because it deals with pressing demands that are here today - and will be there tomorrow, as well!
Let's start with the basics. What exactly is Darsi Pro, and how should teams think about its role in a vision stack?
Speaker:
Darsi Pro is an Edge platform for mobility systems and various vision applications requiring advanced AI, synchronized sensor handling, wide temperature support, and industrial-grade design with a powerful processor like NVIDIA Jetson Orin NX. That way, teams get a unified platform for real-time perception in dynamic environments.

What does Darsi Pro support in terms of camera input?
Speaker:
This AI Vision Box supports up to eight GMSL2 cameras through FAKRA connectors, which enables multi-camera layouts for vision-driven applications.
Darsi Pro already works with a wide range of e-con Systems camera modules. That includes STURDeCAM31 with a 3MP Sony ISX031 sensor, STURDeCAM88 offering 4K imaging with 140 dB HDR, and STURDeCAM57 combining RGB-IR capture with a global shutter.
Such compatibility gives the freedom to choose cameras based on lighting, distance, and environment needs while keeping the same compute box.
Darsi Pro, in addition, comes with CloVis Central - a cloud-based management stack to build camera drivers, deploy and monitor them.
Host:
With emerging AI and perception stacks, camera needs are becoming different for a single system based on the position of the camera. In such cases, how does Darsi Pro help?
Speaker:
Darsi Pro allows different cameras to be used based on the purpose— HDR for challenging lighting conditions, and high resolution where detail matters.
Basically, Darsi Pro offers the room to adapt imaging hardware to the scene rather than forcing workarounds at the software level.

Basically, Darsi Pro offers the room to adapt imaging hardware to the scene rather than forcing workarounds at the software level.
Speaker:
Darsi Pro enables multi-sensor fusion through Precision Time Protocol (PTP). It works with cameras, LiDAR, RADAR, IMUs, and other sensors while keeping inputs aligned with precise timing at the hardware level. That alignment helps robotics and mobility use cases that depend on coordinated perception signals.
Host:
Let's talk about compute. What kind of AI workload does Darsi Pro target?
Speaker:
The NVIDIA Ampere GPU architecture delivers high AI throughput at the edge, reaching up to 100 TOPS. This enhances detection, tracking, and perception workloads that rely on continuous vision data.
It is important to note that Darsi Pro is positioned for applications where multiple pipelines run simultaneously and need sustained inferencing rather than short bursts.
Host:
It's common knowledge that connectivity decides how smoothly a system integrates. So, what interfaces are available with the Darsi Pro?
Speaker:
Darsi Pro includes dual Gigabit Ethernet with PoE, USB 3.2, two CAN interfaces, RS485, isolated GPIOs, HDMI, IMU support, and wireless module options. These interfaces act as a bridge for sensors, accessories, and network connections through one compact unit, covering both fixed installations and mobile systems with mixed interface needs.
Host:
Fleet deployment brings management overhead, right? How does Darsi Pro fit into that picture?
Speaker
As mentioned earlier, Darsi Pro integrates with e-con Systems' cloud-based management platform - CloVis Central. This device management platform enables remote monitoring, device/driver configurations, health checks, AI models deployment, and OTA updates for units in the field.
It helps manage devices across fleets with fewer site visits and helps maintain consistency during long-running deployments.
Host:
Durability becomes a real concern once systems run continuously. What design choices are ideal for long-duty operation?
Speaker:
Darsi Pro uses a fanless build and a rugged enclosure for extended operations in environments where dust, vibration, or outdoor exposure is inevitable. The thermal layout and component selection focus on long service life during continuous duty cycles.
The enclosure also carries an IP67 rating, which ensures effective use in conditions involving dust and water exposure.
Host:
Looking ahead, teams usually want insight into platform direction. What does e-con Systems' roadmap look like?
Speaker:
e-con Systems' current roadmap includes plans for additional Edge AI Vision Box variants, including a PoE-driven model and alignment with NVIDIA Jetson Thor modules. The goal is higher AI capacity, wider camera compatibility, and simpler integration as edge vision workloads continue to scale.
Host:
That gives us a full look inside e-con Systems' Darsi Pro.
