e-con Systems provides an adapter board that empowers the RB5 kit with robust multi-camera capabilities. This multi-camera adapter board can connect up to 6 cameras simultaneously. The cameras can be either MIPI or GMSL2 or a combination of MIPI and GMSL2.

Note: The integration of both MIPI and GMSL2 support is available as part of the customization options.

11. What are all the sensors supported with this multicamera solution?

Currently, the multi-camera solution is compatible with the following sensors: IMX715, IMX462, and AR1335.

Additionally, e-con Systems offers flexibility for incorporating a wide range of camera sensors into your application - ensuring compatibility and meeting your specific requirements.

12. Which cable is used to connect the MIPI camera to the Robotics kit?

IPEX cables are used for connecting MIPI cameras to the Robotics kit. These cables are available in various lengths, such as 30cm and 1m.

13. What is the length of the IPEX cable supported?

By default, the MIPI camera provided by e-con Systems includes a 30cm IPEX cable. Additionally, e-con Systems offers support for IPEX cables with lengths of up to 1 meter. This allows for flexibility in choosing the appropriate cable length based on the specific requirements of your application.

14. Which cable is used to connect the GMSL2 camera to the Robotics kit?

The shielded coaxial cable is used to connect a GMSL2 camera to the Robotics kit. This cable is designed to transmit both power and data signals. It provides reliable and high-quality transmission over longer distances, typically up to 15m.

15. What is the length of the GMSL2 cable supported?

GMSL has two variants available, one with a range of 3 meters and another with a range of 15 meters.

16. Does this camera use the internal ISP available on the Qualcomm QRB5165?

Yes. e-con Systems has camera variants that use the internal ISP of Qualcomm QRB5165.
