1.1 How to use Jetson ISP with this camera?
 
This camera module "e-CAM55_CUMI0521_MOD" has External ISP and will provide the frames in UYVY format. So, this product won't use Jetson NANO ISP.
 
1.2 Can I get a 1m cable for this camera module?
 
Currently the maximum supported FCC cable length is 15cm and it is supplied by default along with the product. For customization, kindly write your requirements to sales@e-consystems.com.
 
1.3 Jetson Nano can support 3 x 4-lane or 4 x 2-lane cameras. How to connect multiple cameras with this development board?
 
Jetson NANO development kit will support only single 2-lane camera. So, you can connect only one 2-lane camera in it. User needs to go for custom carrier board for Jetson NANO module to connect multiple cameras 3 x 4-lane or 4 x 2-lane cameras.
 
1.4 I'm getting flickering in indoor conditions. How to adjust the camera for different lighting frequency?
 
Kindly use Auto exposure to avoid flickering in different lighting condition. If you are using manual exposure kindly keep the exposure value according to the 50Hz or 60Hz lighting.

1.5 What is the weight of the camera board?
 
The camera board weight is 12grams without lens and 17.5grams with lens.
 
1.6 How to use this camera with OpenCV?
 
We are providing V4L2 based camera driver. And hence it can be accessed by OpenCV.
 
Kindly refer this blog article on how to achieve maximum performance using OpenCV.
 
In this blog the installation steps will be referred to Jetson TX2. But you can use this as reference and port the same to Jetson NANO.
 
1.7 How to install OpenCV & CUDA after flashing Jetson Nano with e-con provided Quick Start package?
 
CUDA and OpenCV can be installed using SDK Manager application provided by Nvidia. SDK manager have option to install the CUDA and other Software toolkit to Jetson Board without erasing the Rootfs. For more information kindly refer the SDK.
 
1.8 How to install e-con camera without flashing the Jetson Nano board?
 
Jetson NANO development kit will boot from external SD card. And that SD card will carries all the boot binaries, kernel image, device tree, module drivers and rootfs. We have provided option to upgrade the binaries in the SD card without affecting the existing root file system content. Kindly refer to "Upgrade procedure" section in "Developer guide" document.
 
1.9 Which document I need to refer to use the camera once I received the module?
 
For quick reference, you can start with "Getting started manual" under Hardware documents. This document contains the detail about the product deliverables, how to connect the camera to Jetson NANO and how to flash the quick start package and test the camera.

1.10 Can I use this camera in NIR light condition?
 
The default lens supplied with the camera has IR Cut filter. And it will filter the IR light. You can test it by some other IR pass lens. For choosing different lens kindly write your requirement to sales@e-consystems.com.
 
1.11 What is the glass-to-glass latency for this camera?
 
The glass-to-glass latency is ~149ms for 5 MP, ~122ms for WQHD(2560x1440), ~93ms for FHD, ~80ms for SXGA-(1280x960), ~70ms for HD and VGA resolutions.
 
1.12 Can I use flash trigger to capture images from this camera?
 
By default, there is no trigger support available. Kindly write your requirements to sales@e-consystems.com. They will help you out on customization request.
 
1.13 Shall I connect this camera to Raspberry Pi 3B+?
 
Currently we provided camera driver for Jetson NANO alone.
 
1.14 Is it possible to get RAW Bayer frames from the camera?
 
Current camera driver and firmware doesn't support getting RAW Bayer frames from camera. We can customize the camera driver and the firmware according to your requirement. Kindly write your requirements to sales@e-consystems.com. They will help you out on customization request.
